printing for designers
While we enjoy collaborating with clients to design stationery to print, we are just as happy to take your finished design files and letterpress straight from those. The process is fairly quick and straight forward.
1) IF YOU HAVE A DESIGN YOU WANT US TO PRINT FOR YOU.
Read through the FAQs (menu to the left) to be sure letterpress printing is the right choice for your project.
2) REQUEST A QUOTE.
Simply e-mail us and attach your design along with the printing specs. We will review the details, confirm we can print the work as designed and send a quote for the project. If you do not have a finished design, you can email us with the details of the project and we will send a rough quote based on that.
3) PROCEED WITH PRINTING.
We will go over the project details to confirm the paper and ink selection and answer any questions you may have.
4) SUBMIT FILES.
Email us the final artwork to be printed. Please see FILE SPECS (menu to the left) for formatting requirements. Once we have your files, we will email you a digital PDF proof. You should proof it carefully to make sure your artwork came through correctly and that the printing specs we have noted are all correct. This is the proof we use for platemaking and printing, so please be sure it is correct.
5) approval and turnaround.
Once approved we will order the plates to print and send the invoice for the project. Our standard turnaround time is 7-10 days from when we have your approval of the pdf proof. We can sometimes accommodate rushes so let us know if you have a tight deadline and we will do what we can to meet it.
