file specs
Here are some guidelines to help make the process of letterpress printing your project easy and stress-free. If you need help with any of these steps, please let us know and we can help with file prep.
1) file formats
We prefer press-quality PDF files, ideally created in Adobe Illustrator. Before sending your files, make sure you've outlined your type, and set up your files in solid, uncoated Pantone colors.
2) images
Images need to be vector based or high res (600 dpi) Tiff files in bitmap mode. Clean vector-based art reproduces best, so if possible we prefer this. Please attach the image files in an email, as well.
3) fine lines
The stroke weights in your file should never be less than .25 point.
4) sending files
Please email your files to us at info@sesameletterpress.com.
If you need help with any of the above, please let us know and we can help with file prep.
After we receive your files, we will email you a digital pdf proof (Our standard proof is a digital PDF proof). You should look over this carefully to make sure your artwork came through correctly and that the printing specs we have noted are all correct. This is the proof we use to make the plates and follow for printing, so please be sure it is accurate.
